The Starbucks gal…
So I’m in starbucks meeting with a future bride and groom to go over their day, their options, etc. (Hi Diana), and I walk over to order some drinks du cafe (that’s Jared’s Franco-Spanglish for froofee, overpriced, caffeinated chocolate beverages that carry an inherently high risk of addiction and financial hardship after only 1 or 2 doses). And when I get up to the counter, the Starbucks gal says, “How may I help you?” no… “Welcome to Starbucks, what mochalatachino can I get for you today?” no, that’s not it…. OH! yeah, she said, “So what are you guys doin’ over there?” with a suspicious, raised eyebrow and a very nosey nose. jk
And that’s how I met Miriana, learned of her budding career in theater, answered her questions about shooting for her portfolio, got her to give me free bags of coffee, had her rob me of more money by twisting my arm into buying a sbux gold card, and eventually shot her pics in downtown Suisun (Sue-Soon is where I charge my batteries). Enjoy the teasers.
PS – Miriana, look, you’re on the blog!
Meet Miriana – you might not recognize her w/o the green apron
Yes, I made her sit on the floor… and move the stools.
Get to work!
What a poser… Wait, I mean that in a good way.
Someone’s back porch…
She tried to steal this sign when we left… I had to threaten to call the cops. not.
This pic’s a scratch-n-sniff – try it and you can smell coffee

Wedding Services Ad
Muchas Gracias to Lauren over at Vacaville Magazine for the heads up on a special wedding advertising opportunity for the February issue. She’s been awesome to work with, and the magazine is great just in case you haven’t seen it. You can pick it up free all over town.
Anyway, Sandie and Ben are about to be famous, as I used four photos from their recent wedding to compose the ad graphics. I was on a 1 night deadline, and they happened to be the last wedding I’d touched in Lightroom, so they got nominated. Here’s the ad, let me know whatcha think.
